Hey everyone, my name is Viv Galinari and I’m an AR technical artist for Meta Spark, and I’m excited to introduce you to a new video series we’re rolling out today called “Scripting AR.”
In this new interview series, we’re inviting expert creators and developers from all over the world to explore how they’re using JavaScript in their AR projects. If you’re new to scripting or interested in building your scripting skills, I hope you’ll find this new series helpful.
In every interview, I ask our experts to share a few of their own effects, and together we break down these projects to find the repeatable practices, resources, and most importantly, the advice they have for anyone that wants to learn more about scripting.
To kick off the series, we’re focusing our first episode on the basics of scripting — consider it a helpful extension to the video tutorial course we introduced last year. This will help you get oriented and hopefully a little more comfortable with what writing JavaScript looks like in Meta Spark Studio, and how to use the library of documentation and tutorials available today on the Learn Hub. Additionally, in this episode, I’ll be touching on the following topics:
I hope you find this first episode of Scripting AR helpful. Our goal with this series is to make scripting less intimidating and more approachable for all types of Meta Spark creators. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more information from each interview right here on the Meta Spark blog, including the full-length episodes, so please make sure to keep an eye out for those additional posts coming soon.
If you would like to explore this topic further, I encourage you to join the Meta Spark Community on Facebook where you can communicate and connect with creators and developers from all over the world on this topic and much, much more!
