Introducing the Spark AR Creator Awards

Earlier today, at F8 Refresh, we shared the exciting update that Spark AR is now the largest and most used mobile AR platform in the world. Our Spark AR community has surpassed 600,000 creators from 190 countries, who have published over 2 million AR effects across the Facebook Family of Apps.

As our ecosystem continues to grow, we know it’s absolutely critical to build systems that help recognize your progress and success as a Spark AR creator, whether it’s to simply celebrate your accomplishments, or to help you stand out professionally. That’s why we’re excited today to be rolling out a new feature called Spark AR Creator Awards.

Awards capture and celebrate your contributions, milestones and success as a Spark AR creator, and can be found on the new Awards page within Spark AR Hub. Awards are earned automatically for different achievements, ranging from how long you’ve been a Spark AR creator, to how many effects you’ve published. All awards are private, but if you choose to make them public, we’ve made it easy to showcase them on your Spark AR portfolio.

The Awards

Starting today, we’re rolling out several awards, with additional awards coming later this year. Here’s a quick sampling of the awards available now, you can learn more about each one on the new Awards page in Spark AR Hub.

Active Creator

You’ll earn this award if you’ve published at least one AR effect within the last 28 days. This award will disappear if you’re not regularly publishing effects.

Years with Spark AR

Earn this award one year after you publish your first effect. And, every year thereafter, this award will automatically update.

Proud Publisher

Earn this award when your total number of AR effects published reaches certain milestones. There are five milestones to reach.

Trendsetter

Earn this award when your total AR effect impressions reach certain milestones. There are five milestones to reach.

SPN Member

This award is earned if you successfully become a member of the Spark AR Partner Network.
