With now more than 1.2 million AR effects published across Facebook and Instagram, we’ve had the unique opportunity to listen and learn what our creators expect and need in their effect publishing workflows. And we’ve made a variety of improvements, from review policy updates and effect submission guidance, to new insights that help you understand how your effects are performing.
Today, this effort to improve your publishing experience continues with the rollout of several new capabilities in Spark AR Hub, each one designed to help simplify and streamline how you publish, manage, and analyze your AR effects.
Now you can submit your effect once, and upon approval, publish it simultaneously across Facebook and Instagram. That’s right — one submission, one review process, and you can then publish your effect to all supported platforms in the Facebook Family of apps and services. Be sure to check out our updated documentation, which provides more details on publishing, plus how to manage effect attributions.
We’re simplifying and streamlining the management of published effects to help save you time. Now, if you need to edit your effect, just do it once and we’ll automatically update it across every Facebook supported platform where the effect is visible.
We’re rolling out an update to the Spark AR Hub insights tab that will provide you with a single, consolidated view of your effect performance across all platforms. This consolidated view makes it easier to zero in and understand how your effect is performing on Facebook and Instagram, across our three insights categories: Discovery, Engagement and Audience.
Unified effect publishing, simplified management and consolidated insights are currently rolling out to all users, we hope you’ll give them a try. We also encourage all creators to check out Spark AR Learn and the Spark AR Forum for additional information.
