On April 18th we wrapped up the Spark Playtime competition, and have since been busy judging entries, tabulating points and generally enjoying the breadth and depth of effects submitted.
For this latest competition, we took your feedback and made several adjustments to the scoring system, including no longer over-weighting submissions based on their engagement metrics. Instead, we distributed our judging and scoring across four categories, including originality (10%), craftsmanship (30%), technical complexity (30%), and engagement (30%).
And now [drumroll please], we’re excited to share the top 10 cash prize winners for the Spark Playtime competition!
In addition to these 10 winners, approximately 290 creators earned at least $800 USD in cash prizes as part of the Spark Playtime competition. You can find the full list of all the competition winners available here.
A big congrats to everyone that participated in this competition!
Additionally, we have to give a special thanks to Eugene Soh, Kavin Kumar and Noland Chaliha for leading our competition workshops. If you’re interested in learning more about how to build group effects, we have the full-length recordings freely available today.
We hope you had fun with this competition, and as always, we encourage everyone to join the Spark AR Community Facebook Group and the Creator Days Workshops Group to learn more about upcoming competitions, workshops and events.
