Over the past few years, Meta Spark has been releasing new features and improvements every two weeks. This process allowed us to ship quickly, but was also prone to introducing and carrying over product issues across versions. Many of you have voiced how these issues make it difficult for you to test and complete your projects, especially when a client is involved. We hear you.
As part of our continued efforts to offer our creators a more stable creation environment, we are changing how we release Meta Spark Studio. Meta Spark Studio will now be released quarterly, providing a more stable development environment with longer term support and tested features.
For those who are interested in immediately trying the latest features, you will be able to opt in to the Meta Spark Studio beta, which will be released more frequently. The Meta Spark Studio beta will continue to showcase the latest features and improvements and will be available to all creators. The quarterly releases will aim to provide a more stable development environment by offering longer term support and including features that have been tested in beta versions of Meta Spark Studio.
Our first quarterly release will be Meta Spark Studio v181.
Quarterly releases will enable us to go through longer periods of testing before releasing features and updates. If you do spot any issues on this quarterly release version, please let us know via the “Help > Report an Issue” option within Meta Spark Studio.
Remember, it helps our engineers debug your issues faster when they are able to reproduce the issue consistently. You can help this process by ensuring to have step by step instructions on how to trigger the bug you have faced and attaching your project on the bug report. It is also helpful to note your Instagram version and effect ID wherever relevant.
We want to work with our creators to make our product better, one step at a time. We encourage you to download the Meta Spark Studio beta when it becomes available and give us ongoing feedback in the following ways:
Thank you for being a Meta Spark Creator, we can’t wait to see what you create next.
